Adolf Arthur Dehn (1895 - 1968) was very successful as both a landscape watercolorist and lithographer. He documented American urban and rural life during the Depression, and had a gift for caricature. Eventually, his increased awareness of politics during his studies between 1915-17 inspired his desire to be a satirical artist. Adolf Dehn is considered to be an American Regionalist with an emphasis on everyday themes and environments including the Manhattan Skyline, nightclubs and rural New York.
